I still need to code the LCM module for the LCI lights too so it will come in handy for that as well. I've ordered up the cable and software required so I'll have a go at that next week. I'm sure once I've done it everything will make sense. I've never coded anything before so it all goes over my head a bit but as I'm determined to get the original system working I read up on it and it seems to be fairly straight forward in principle. Not all is lost though and with the help of the forum found out that it can be coded to output in colour. A bit of googling and forum searching revealed that I had picked up a mk4 unit for a basic mono navigation system, since I have the 16:9 display I obviously need the unit that outputs in colour. So a step backwards from the teletext style blue screen that I had previously. Had another go at getting the nav unit to work again this week, installed a mk4 dvd unit but only managed to get a blank backlit screen.
